The Abbotsford Canucks and the Laval Rocket played earlier this week, a fight broke out between Josiah Didier and Chris Stillman, while most fans enjoy a good hockey fight, nobody was enjoying it when Didier’s head slammed against the ice.

“Ahead of Thursday’s game in Dallas, Head Coach Adam Foote formed an “Abbotsford Line” on his fourth trio, which consists of Arshdeep Bains, Max Sasson and Linus Karlsson, all of whom played big roles in helping their AHL affiliate take home their first-ever Calder Cup back in June.”-Jaxon

Chris Stillman ejected from game after dangerous altercation with Josh Didier.

A scary incident in Laval as Chase Stillman drops Josiah Didier head first. Luckily, Didier was able to skate off on his own despite the stretcher originally being wheeled out.

Stillman received a match penalty and was ejected from the game. Surprisingly, however, he did not receive any further disciplinary action. And will be back in action for Saturday night’s game.

“A stretcher was brought out onto the ice, but Didier was able to get up on his own and skate to the dressing room. He didn’t return to the contest, but Stephane Leroux of RDS reported that Didier was joking with teammates after the game while sporting a bandage on his head. Rocket head coach Pascal Vincent apparently even said that Didier wanted to return to the game.”-Beggs

It goes to show how dangerous this game can be, but what Stillman did was not acceptable, and luckily Didier wasn’t as injured as he appeared to be.
