Vancouver Canucks veteran forward Brock Boeser did not take part in Sunday afternoon’s 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals due to personal reasons, general manager Patrik Allvin announced.

The 28-year-old American has three goals over five games in the young 2025-26 season, his 10th campaign with the Canucks.
After being selected 23rd overall by Vancouver in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Boeser has recorded 207 goals and 230 assists over 559 career games with the Canucks. He’s added 11 goals and 12 assists over 29 playoff games.
Boeser signed a seven-year, $50.75 million contract with the Canucks this summer.
The Canucks moved to 4-2-0 on the season in the victory, and currently occupy third place in Pacific Division.
