Scary scene develops for the Vancouver Canucks after Filip Chytil was forced to leave the game against the Washington Capitals after receiving a devastating Hit from Tom Wilson, putting his career at risk.
Nearing the end of the 1st period, Filip Chytil was seen wobbling off after a late and dangerous hit from Washington Capitals controversial power forward Tom Wilson, who, has a history of injuring players across the league.
The Capitals forward blindsided Chytil at center ice after the Canucks forward delivered a pass. After review, there was no penalty on the play with the ref’s calling the hit “A good hockey hit”.

The hit sent the injury prone forward right down the tunnel, and the Vancouver Canucks delivered the bad news that he would not return to the game, marking another probable concussion for Chytil.
Forwards Filip Chytil and Jonathan Lekkerimäki will not return to
today’s game.
There is an obvious concern for his health, especially based on the long list of head injuries in his career.
He has suffered multiple, serious concussions that many would not be able to come back from, most notably the concussion that ended his 2024-25 season after getting off to a hot start with the Vancouver Canucks after being traded by the New York Rangers.
As it stands right now, there is no update on his condition, but everyone here at Canucks Daily wish him a speedy recovery.
