The Hawks have now won 13 of the past 17 meetings with the Ducks, dating back to February 2019. More in the links for the key takeaways from Sunday’s OT win.

Around the league, the Florida Panthers have dropped four consecutive games, Tom Wilson is in the news again, while Alex Ovechkin closes in on his 900th NHL goal.

Chicago Blackhawks Recap, News & Tidbits

Chicago Hockey Now: After losing their first two overtime appearances, the Blackhawks finally got the job done at 3-on-3 on Sunday. Bedard made an excellent feed to find Ryan Donato for the game-winning goal, but it wouldn’t have been possible without another epic performance in net from Knight. Here are the key stats & takeaways from the Blackhawks’ win at United Center on Sunday.

Not only have the Blackhawks been getting key contributions from their young players early in the season, but the Rockford IceHogs have also gotten standout performances from a few top prospects in recent games. After Oliver Moore opened the year with a pair of two-goal nights, it’s was Nick Lardis’ turn to shine over the weekend. Lardis potted his first professional goal on Saturday, and then he followed that up with a four-point second period in Sunday’s game. Lardis now has eight points through his first five AHL games.

The red-hot run for Roman Kantserov continued on Sunday, as he scored his 10th goal of the season already. Kantserov is now tied for the KHL lead in goals and is seventh in points. Very impressive for the 21-year-old forward.

Florida Hockey Now: What is going on with the two-time defending champs? Brad Marchand had a meltdown against the Buffalo Sabres, and the Florida Panthers have now dropped four consecutive games. However, George Richards from FHN writes there is no reason for the Panthers to panic.

Detroit Hockey Now: Congrats to Red Wings forward Emmitt Finnie for scoring his first NHL goal on Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers. Finnie found the back of the net twice, and the rookie’s fearlessness might be contagious in Detroit’s locker room.
