The Montreal Canadiens finish their four-game stretch at home tonight with a very important match against the Buffalo Sabres, and we now know the starting lineup.

Despite this setback, the Habs now have a 4-2-0 record and hope to end their home stand on a high note before facing several NHL powerhouses in the coming days.

Starting lineup revealed for tonight’s game

The Buffalo Sabres arrive in Montreal with a bit more confidence, having won two consecutive games, including an impressive 3-0 shutout against the Stanley Cup champions.

Here is the starting lineup for the Habs:

Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky,
Newhook-Kapanen-Demidov,
Bolduc-Veleno-Beck
Anderson-Evans-Gallagher

Matheson-Dobson
Struble-Hutson
Xhekaj-Carrier
Dobes

“A reminder that tonight’s Canadiens-Sabres game at the Bell Centre is a 7:30 p.m. start – not 7 p.m. – because it’s on Prime TV. The game is also on RDS. Jakub Dobes will start in goal for Habs:”

– Stu Cowan

Canadiens fans hope that the famous Country Night, always a fan favorite, will end in style with a big performance from the Habs.

I have to say, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the team will bounce back after Saturday’s loss to New York. I have a little feeling that the players will come out strong.
