Warwick joined Lampeter-Strasburg as the only Lancaster-Lebanon League team to win a District Three Class 2A field hockey opener on Tuesday.

Cocalico, Elco and Elizabethtown were eliminated.

Here’s a breakdown of the games.

Warwick 9, Greencastle-Antrim 0: Karys Craver and Annalaye Glenn scored two goals each to lead the No. 2 Warriors to the shutout victory. Lilly Bromirski, Calli Martin, Kenzie Ellis, Kayla Gockley and Mallory Bish added one tally each.

Martin and Mara Moyer were the key facilitators, spotting two assists apiece. No. 15 Greencastle failed to generate a shot on goal and mustered one corner.

Warwick will host No. 7 Lampeter-Strasburg, an 8-1 first-round winner over Gettysburg, in Saturday’s quarterfinals at 10 a.m.

Susquehannock 2, Cocalico 1 (2OT): The No. 14 Eagles nearly pulled off the upset, but the No. 3 Warriors scored with six minutes remaining in the second overtime to punch their quarterfinal ticket.

Izzy Rios provided Cocalico a one-goal lead with 48 seconds left in the second quarter, depositing an assist from Maggie Weber. Susquehannock forced extra time by scoring with 15 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Eagles ended their season at 9-10.

New Oxford 3, Elco 1: The No. 8 Colonials and No. 9 Raiders were tied 1-1 at intermission before the hosts plugged two second-half scores to advance to Saturday’s quarterfinals.

Meredith Noll recorded the lone goal for Elco. The Raiders finished their campaign at 14-6.

Hershey 1, Elizabethtown 0: The No. 6 Trojans scored on a corner as time expired.

The No. 11 Bears completed a 9-8-1 season with the loss.
