Charles-Alexis Legault played 36 games for the Warriors during the 2021-22 season
Charles-Alexis Legault can officially call himself an NHL player.
The former West Kelowna Warrior made his NHL debut with the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday, Oct. 20. The 22-year-old defenceman didn’t record a point, played 20 shifts totalling 12:30 of ice-time, recorded one hit, two blocked shots, a giveaway, and had an even rating in a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Legault was Carolina’s fifth round selection (139th overall)Â in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.Â
The Montreal native played in 36 regular season games for the Warriors in the 2021-22 season, scoring six goals, adding 12 assists and totalling 66 penalty minutes. That year, he came alive in the playoffs, with 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 11 playoff games.
