The schedule for the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars Round 1 playoff series was finally announced on Thursday morning.

And while we knew Game 1 would be on Saturday, here’s the rest of the slate from the NHL.

Here’s the schedule for the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars in the first-round of the NHL playoffs

April 19: Game 1, 6:30 p.m. MT (TNT), Dallas
April 21: Game 2, 7:30 p.m. MT (ESPN), Dallas
April 23: Game 3, 7:30 p.m. MT (ESPN), Denver
April 26: Game 4, 7:30 p.m. MT (TBS), Denver
April 28: Game 5, TBD (TBD), Dallas*
May 1: Game 6, TBD (TBD), Denver*
May 3: Game 7, TBD (TBD), Dallas*

Unfortunately, the means a significant overlap with the Denver Nuggets first-round playoff series schedule against the Los Angeles Clippers. Game 2 will have overlap, as well as possibly Game 6 and 7, should both series get there. Games 1 and 4 are on the same days, but should be spaced far enough apart with tip time and puck drop.

Regardless, it’s good to finally know the schedule. There are a lot of storylines entering this series, including the potential return of Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog as well as Mikko Rantanen facing his old team in the postseason.

Throw in the fact both teams have excellent odds to win the Stanley Cup, and someone will be going home way too early.

The fun starts in Dallas on Saturday night, with the series shifting to Denver next Wednesday and Saturday. Ball Arena will be electric regardless, but even more so if Landeskog plays.

The Stars knocked out the Avalanche in 20T in Game 6 of Round 2 last year, so you know Colorado has revenge on its mind. Win this series, and anything is possible, including the franchise’s fourth Stanley Cup.
