All the NHL executive offices were ranked by the Athletic, in order by number of votes, the Vancouver Canucks ended up with an embarrassing zero votes, while other teams also didn’t receive any votes, it goes to show how far off they are on and off the ice.

“Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin admitted recently that there is a sense of urgency to complete a trade at some point soon amid their injury situation.”-Jaxon

Vancouver Canucks so far off the top of the NHL on and off the ice.

The Athletic held voting for all the best front offices in the NHL, the usual names like the Panthers, Stars, Avalanche were all there in the top 5, but a team that didn’t make the list were the Vancouver Canucks. Not receiving one single vote shows the problems stems deeper than just on the ice.

‘The Ducks earned some indirect praise from a voter who put their rebuild in a class with Montreal’s. Boston, New Jersey and Detroit fell out of the top 10 – that’s particularly bad news for the Red Wings, who are still trying to get over the playoff hump in the East. Pittsburgh, Nashville and Vancouver went from receiving single votes to none.”-Athletic

Even the Philadelphia Flyers received a vote and they haven’t made the playoffs in years. The poor management of the Canucks can easily be seen when looking at the center situation they have going. With Filip Chytil out with a probable concussion, the Canucks center lineup looks more like an AHL than a NHL rotation. And with Elias Pettersson still struggling his contract is looking worse and worse as the season goes on.

This ranking does not just tell the story for this season, but for the hope going forward in the future. The Flyers got a vote because there is something building, even if the results aren’t showing yet. The Canucks are more regressing than progressing at this point and it starts with the head office not preparing for things like their current injury situation and lack of talent whatsoever at the center position.
