Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood has entered some pretty elite company in franchise history on Sunday following a multi-goal effort against the Edmonton Oilers.
The Vancouver Canucks got back in the win column on Sunday night against the Edmonton Oilers thanks to a pair of goals from forward Kiefer Sherwood, who is currently in the final year of his contract and doesn’t appear to feel any pressure whatsoever given that he’s playing for a big payday next summer.
“END THE GAME, WOODY‼️” the Canucks’ social media account said after Sherwood’s overtime winner.

With his two goals last night, the Columbus, Ohio native is now up to six goals in ten games to start the season and is leading his team in that department, two ahead of fellow American Brock Boeser, who has four in eight contests.
According to @StatsCentre on X, Kiefer Sherwood is now tied with Thomas Gradin, Greg Adams, Geoff Courtnall and Markus Naslund for third-most goals in the first four home games of a season for the Vancouver Canucks.
Tony Tanti leads the way with seven which he had during the 1983-84 season, while Pavel Bure picked up six in his first four home games of the 1992-93 campaign.

After the victory, Kiefer Sherwood spoke with reporters about his two-goal night and how special it was to hear the fans in attendance at Rogers Arena chanting his name.
“It means the world. It’s why you play the game just those feelings. You just try to give them those moments to cheer for.” Sherwood said.
Sherwood will look to continue his hot start on Tuesday night as the Canucks finish up their quick three-game home stand against J.T. Miller and the New York Rangers.
