TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Sunday evening, the Tampa Bay Lightning faced the Vegas Golden Knights in their first and only visit to the Benchmark International Arena during the regular season. The Lightning took a 2-1 overtime win, thanks to Nikita Kucherov, who scored the game-winning goal just 32 seconds into OT.
Brandon Hagel scored at 4:53 of the first period to give Tampa the 1-0 advantage, and his first of the season. William Karlsson tied the game up for Vegas at 18:25 of the first period. The second and third periods were scoreless, sending the game to OT.
