Kyle Connor’s wrist shot just 46 seconds into overtime lifted the Winnipeg Jets to a 4–3 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night, marking Winnipeg’s ninth straight win against their Central Division rivals.

Connor notched his fifth goal of the season after taking a smooth drop pass from Mark Scheifele and firing a clean shot from the slot. Nino Niederreiter had earlier tied the game midway through the third period, capping a comeback for the Jets after Minnesota briefly took the lead.

Winnipeg jumped out to a 2–0 lead in the first period when Gabriel Vilardi and Vladislav Namestnikov scored on deflected shots just 22 seconds apart. The Wild responded in the second, with Kirill Kaprizov and Brock Faber finding the net, and Marcus Johansson giving Minnesota a 3–2 advantage early in the third on a power play. Johansson’s tally—his fourth in three games—came when Faber’s shot deflected off the goalmouth and glanced off Jets defenseman Luke Schenn’s knee.

Logan Stanley and Neal Pionk each contributed two assists for the Jets (7–3–0), who remained perfect on the road (4–0) after their first game extending past regulation. Winnipeg hasn’t lost to Minnesota since March 8, 2023.

The Wild (3–5–3) struggled again at home, falling to 1–5–2 when allowing the first goal. They have surrendered 22 goals in their last four home games, including recent defeats to Utah (6–2) and San Jose (6–5 in overtime).

Kaprizov, who recorded his first even-strength goal among a team-leading six this season, moved past Zach Parise for fourth on the franchise’s all-time points list with 401—trailing Mikko Koivu (709), Marian Gaborik (437), and active defenseman Jared Spurgeon (418).

Former Wild stars Marian Gaborik, Brian Rolston, Stephane Veilleux, and Pierre-Marc Bouchard participated in the ceremonial puck drop as part of the team’s 25th anniversary celebration.
