Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild’s struggles continued Tuesday night as they dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the Winnipeg Jets at Grand Casino Arena, marking their fourth consecutive loss.

In a game that featured former Wild playoff hero Nino Niederreiter haunting his old team, the Jets rallied from a third-period deficit to secure the extra point. Niederreiter, who scored memorable playoff goals during his time in Minnesota, tied the game at 3-3 in the third period, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

Kyle Connor wasted no time in overtime, netting the game-winner just 56 seconds into the extra frame to hand Winnipeg the victory.

Despite the loss, the Wild showed offensive firepower with goals from Kirill Kaprizov, Brock Faber, and Marcus Johansson. However, their defensive struggles and inability to close out games continue to plague the team during this difficult stretch.

The defeat leaves Minnesota in seventh place in the Central Division standings with just nine points.

The Wild will look to snap their losing streak when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night at Grand Casino Arena.
