Boston Bruins star forward David Pastrnak has made a bold prediction for Morgan Geekie.

Geekie has become an impact player for the Bruins, as he has had career years in both of his first two years in Boston. With Geekie off to a hot start, Pastrnak believes the star forward will score 50+ goals in a season before his career is over.

“He has everything to score 50 in this league,” Pastrnak said on Tuesday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “I keep reminding him, he has a heck of a shot and goal-scoring instincts.

“He’s going to get it one day. The shot he has is amazing, the best on our team. We just need to keep getting him the opportunities and reminding him to shoot more.”

Geekie has eight goals in 12 games this season and is off to a hot start. His career-high is 33, which he set last season, but Pastrnak believes he can get to 50. If Geekie can get to 50 goals, it would be a stellar season.

The 27-year-old is in the first year of his six-year, $33 million deal with the Bruins.

Pastrnak knows what it takes to get to 50 goals in a season, as the Bruins superstar has recorded 61 goals in 2022-23. He’s also had 40+ goals five times in his career, but he believes Geekie is a better goal scorer than him.

The Bruins are off to a 5-7 start and will host the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.
