The Detroit Red Wings unveiled which goaltender will be sent between the pipes as they hope to win a third straight game on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

The Red Wings had an overall great start to the season.

Despite a tough home opener performance and a 7-2 loss to the New York Islanders more recently, the team is currently standing in 2nd place in the Atlantic Division, only two points behind the Montreal Canadiens.

The team captain, Dylan Larkin, said it best when he talked about starting the trip on a high note following the win over the Blues:”A really good start to the trip. I think a good road game out of our team. That’s something that we’ve been looking to do. The third point is a total team win. All the lines were good, all the ‘D’ pairs played really solid, and [John Gibson] was great. We had a great third period. A lot of positives and a really good way to start the trip.”

Now, the team is preparing to face the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night, and a reporter shared who will be the starting goalie for that game.
