For those who don’t want to remortgage their house to watch the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the World Series, there is an alternative.

Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment is hosting a Blue Jays watch party at Scotiabank Arena on Friday night, when the Jays have a chance to win their first World Series title in 32 years.

“Sports have the incredible power to bring people together,” President & CEO of MLSE, Keith Pelley, said in a release.

“We are pleased to give fans an opportunity to show support and build unforgettable memories as we cheer, celebrate and support them.”

MLSE also announced that, if the Blue Jays lose Game 6, they will also host a watch party in Game 7 at Scotiabank Arena.

The Toronto Raptors play a road game on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, before returning home on Sunday, Nov. 2. For the Toronto Maple Leafs, they play on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Nov. 1, before returning home on Monday, Nov. 3.

Scotiabank Arena was already free for both of these watch party dates; however, there is a concert (Vybz Kartel) on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the rink.

Tickets to attend the Jays watch party at Scotiabank Arena are $15 each, with net proceeds going to the MLSE Foundation.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., with Game 6 beginning at 8 p.m.
