The Nashville Predators visit the Philadelphia Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Oct. 30.
The Predators have lost two straight, most recently a 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct. 28. Nashville (4-5-2, 10 points) did not have an answer for Tampa’s defense, managing only 20 shots on Andrei Vasilevskiy. The offense continues to struggle, scoring two or fewer goals for the the eighth time in 11 games.
Roman Josi is still out with an upper-body injury. He may soon be joined by Adam Wilsby, who left the Tampa game with a lower-body injury and did not return.
Philadelphia (5-3-1, 11 points) beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 in a shootout on Oct. 28. Forward Bobby Brink scored a goal and assist, then clinched the win with a shootout goal. Trevor Zegras and Sean Couturier lead the Flyers with nine points in nine games.
The Predators could look to their backup Justus Annunen in this game. He has yet to record a win, but made 24 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Oct. 26.
With the news that goaltender Samuel Ersson is day-to-day with an injury, the Flyers will likely start Dan Vladar in net.
