Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond assisted on both of Sweden’s goals Monday in a 2-1 victory over archrival Finland at the World Championship at Avicii Arena in Stockholm.
Sweden (3-0-0-0) leads Group A with nine points.
Raymond registered a game-high seven of his team’s 41 shots on goal in 18:38.
Sweden opened the scoring at 4:45 of the first period when Raymond set-up Red Wings teammate Erik Gustafsson for a one-timer and his shot was deflected in by Leo Carlsson.
Raymond set up Jonas Brodin for what proved to be the winning goal at 7:23 of the second period.
Gustafsson had one assist in 17:10. Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson had no points and two shots in 17:37.

Austria 3, Slovakia 2 (SO): The Red Wings’ Marco Kasper scored a goal and added an assist to lead Austria, which had lost its first two games. Kasper logged 20:30, the most for any Austrian forward and leads his team has three points, including a team-leading two goals, and nine shots on goals in three games. Austria is 0-1-0-2 (two points).
Switzerland 3, United States 0: Leonardo Genomi, a 37-year-old who’s played his entire career in Switzerland, made 23 saves to shut out the U.S., which has outscored its opponents 11-0 in its first two games. The U.S. (2-0-0-1) has six points. Switzerland (2-0-1-0) has seven points.
