The New Jersey Devils signed goaltender Jacob Markstrom to a two-year, $12 million extension with an annual cap hit of $6 million.
Markstrom, 35, has a 2-2-0 record this season with a 5.13 goals-against average and an .830 save percentage.
The 6-foot-6 netminder was acquired from the Calgary Flames in June of 2024 in exchange for defenceman Kevin Bahl and a draft pick.
He had a 26-16-6 record last season with a 2.50 GAA and .900 save percentage leading Devils to a playoff appearance.
Markstrom is in the final season of a six-year, $36 million contract with a $4.125 cap hit. His new contract will begin for the 2026-27 campaign.
