Just when you though it could not get worse for the Vancouver Canucks, their nightmare season has continued as Brock Boeser was forced to leave the game against the St. Louis Blues with an Injury, adding to the long list of ailments this season.
The Vancouver Canucks were plagued by drama and injuries in 2024-25, and just 11 games into the 2025-26 season, it appears that this year is going to be the same unfortunate story.
“Per @risingaction:
#Canucks GM Patrik Allvin tells me neither Conor Garland nor Quinn Hughes are travelling with the team. Canucks flying to St. Louis today.
Allvin still hopeful Hughes can join the team in either Minnesota or Nashville.” TSN’s Farhan Lalji said.

In the very first shift against the St. Lous Blues on Thursday, Canucks star Brock Boeser went down with a scary injury after taking a slapshot of the knee from his own defenseman Elias Pettersson (D).
Brock Boeser left the game early after taking a slapshot to the lower-body area
He laid on the ice for what seemed like an eternity and went straight down the tunnel to seek medical attention.
The Canucks quickly provided an update on social media, stating that Boeser would not be returning to the game, indicating it may be something serious..
Forward Brock Boeser will not return to tonight’s game.
It is pretty hard to believe that this early in the season basically half the teams core players are sidelined with injuries, making it that much harder to turn the whole year around.
The Canucks now only have nine skaters – half of an NHL lineup – injured. Six forwards and three defensemen out.
Hopefully Boeser’s injury will not keep him out long-term as they desperately need him to start winning games consistently.
