Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry is close to making his season debut after undergoing hip surgery in the off-season.
The 6-foot-5 winger had been a full participant in practice earlier in the week and the hope is he will be in the lineup when the Jets take on the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, according to TSN’s Danielle Bain.
As mentioned throughout the week, Adam Lowry has been progressing well and is close to making his season debut. The hope is he’s ready Tuesday in LA. The Jets are off tomorrow, but they skate Monday morning which will determine his availability. Huge boost for the club.#NHLJets

Winnipeg defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 on Saturday and the team has a scheduled off-day on Sunday. They will determine if Lowry is ready to play during Monday’s practice.
Lowry, 32, underwent hip surgery in May, resumed skating in August and targeted late October/early November as the target for a return to play.
He had 16 goals and 34 points in 73 games last year with the Jets and added four goals in 13 playoff games.
Drafted 67th overall by the Jets in 2011, Lowry has 121 goals and 273 points in 775 games and was named captain of the Jet prior to the 2023-24 campaign.
Winnipeg sits second in the Central Division with a 9-3-0 record and are one point behind the Colorado Avalanche.
