The Chicago Blackhawks snagged a point in Alberta against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday after a 3-2 overtime loss. Connor Bedard extended his point streak to four games with an assist. Bedard has four goals and four assists during the streak.

First period

There was not much action beside Bedard taking a hooking penalty while forward Vasily Podkolzin was on a breakaway. The ensuing penalty stop was stopped by Blackhawks’ goaltender Spencer Knight.

Second period

Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring at the 0:54 mark of the period with snapshot past Knight to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead on the power play. Draisaitl’s ninth goal of the season was assisted by forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid.

Chicago forward Tyler Bertuzzi beat Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner to tie the game at 1-1 at the 8:32 mark with a tip-in goal. The goal, Bertuzzi’s third on the season, was assisted by Bedard and Andre Burakovsky.
