Trade Talks Heat up Between Canucks and 60 Goal Scorer

Steven Stamkos has been struggling ever since he joined the Nashville Predators, and as a result rumours have been starting to swirl around that he is involved in trade talks with the Vancouver Canucks.”The Canucks have been linked to countless names over the course of the last few months, among them being Pavel Zacha and Casey Mittelstadt of the Boston Bruins, but more recently, former 60 goal scorer Steven Stamkos has entered the fray as a potential option.”-Jaxon

Stamkos becomes Vancouver Canucks newest trade target.

Calvin Luckfield of PredLines posted on the probability that Stamkos will not be a Predator for much longer, he never found his groove since moving to Nashville, and a change of scenery is imminent.

“The Preds have begun the season much like the last, quite poorly. They are now 5-6-2, and the guy they signed to help put them over the edge into contention, Stamkos, has two points in 13 games. This is not good enough for the future Hall of Famer veteran who has struggled since arriving to get back to the caliber of play we saw from him in a Tampa Bay Lightning jersey.”-Luckfield

While there is no solid evidence of trade talks between the Canucks and the Predators to pursue Stamkos, rumours can always spark interest from the fans all the way up to the head office, and we may see Stamkos wearing the blue and green eventually this season.

“That bet seems to be one the Canucks are debating. Going into the season, they had a big question mark at 2C with Filip Chytil being the best candidate to fill it. With another unfortunate injury to a forward who has struggled to remain on the ice, however, they find themselves with a hole in the lineup.”-Luckfield

The Canucks need to make some moves and fast, they cannot score goals to save the life of them, and maybe a former Rocket Richard winner can help them, even if he is 35 years old. The Canucks have no options left to save their season, they need to make a move and quick.
