The Boston Bruins have six prospects playing for the Boston College Eagles this season, and one of them is out of the lineup until the new year with a wrist injury that required surgery. Senior forward Andre Gasseau had been playing with the nagging injury early in the season and scored his first goal of the campaign last week. Since then, the seventh-round draft pick has been missing in action and finally underwent successful wrist surgery.

Gasseau played five games before the surgery and notched the one goal and three assists. Since being drafted by Boston in 2021, Gasseau has seen a steady improvement culminating in a 15 goal, 15 assist season last year. In these three-plus seasons at The Heights, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound left-shot wing has tallied 38 goals and 54 assists in 117 collegiate games.
This season, Gasseau was elected captain and would potentially be eligible to sign his entry-level NHL contract with Boston after the season. The California native plays with James Hagens, Dean Letourneau, Oskar Jellvik, Kristian Kostadinski, and Will Moore on the BC club. The Eagles are off to a disappointing start at 2-4-1, as Jellvik has also been in and out of the lineup with injuries.
