The Chicago Blackhawks are recalling forward Oliver Moore from the AHL and placing Jason Dickinson on the IR.
The Chicago Blackhawks continue their western road trip on Monday night with a battle against the Seattle Kraken. The Blackhawks started the trip with a convincing loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday and a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. Now, they look to get back to their winning ways in the Pacific Northwest.
Perhaps arriving at a perfect time, the Blackhawks are calling upon reinforcements from the farm. Per Scott Powers, and a host of other Blackhawks reporters, the team is recalling forward Oliver Moore from the Rockford IceHogs. He is expected to be available to make his season debut on Monday night.
Moore’s promotion comes in the wake of Jason Dickinson hitting the IR. Nonetheless, Moore is certainly deserving of his promotion. The forward has nine points (six goals, three assists) in nine games with Rockford.
Although Moore’s scoring touch has been on full display, his speed is the real reason he’s such an exciting player. Add him in with the likes of Ilya Mikheyev, Frank Nazar, and Connor Bedard, and the Blackhawks easily have one of the fastest rosters in the league. Once the development is complete for these young players, the Hawks are going to be dangerous.

Last season, Moore signed and subsequently debuted for the Blackhawks alongside college teammate Sam Rinzel. In nine NHL games, Moore tallied four assists. Perhaps he can find his first NHL goal in the coming games.
The Blackhawks and Kraken are set to face off at 9:00 p.m. CT on CHSN. This marks the third game for the Blackhawks on a six-game road trip.
