The Vancouver Canucks are set to make a big lineup change on Monday night ahead of the finale of their three-game road trip against the Nashville Predators.

After splitting their first two games of the road trip against the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild, the Vancouver Canucks are back in action tonight in The Music City as Adam Foote’s group look to head back north with another win under their belt.

The Canucks have had a difficult time with injuries of late, including captain Quinn Hughes, who sustained a groin injury on October 25th against the Montreal Canadiens.

Hughes’ injury kept him out of the Canucks’ lineup for four games, but thankfully, the Orlando, Florida native was feeling better recently and met his teammates in Minnesota ahead of Saturday’s game, signalling that his return to the lineup is close.

In a post on social media on Monday, Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy shared that it appears Quinn Hughes will be making his return to the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup tonight, with Pierre-Olivier Joseph set to be a healthy scratch.Murphy went on to add that Thatcher Demko went through the starter’s routine at the morning skate, meaning he’ll be getting back-to-back starts after backing up Kevin Lankinen in the opener of their road trip last Thursday.

“No line rushes at #canucks skate. Demko did the starters routine. Guessing it’s P.O. Joseph coming out for Hughes. Will need confirmation from 🦶” Murphy said.
