The losing streak reached three games for the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, as they were defeated 3-1 by the Seattle Kraken and remain winless on their current road trip. The Blackhawks only managed to sneak one shot past Kraken netminder Joey Daccord, as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced at Climate Pledge Arena. Seattle was also credited with 19 blocked shots on the night, as they consistently stepped into shooting lanes to prevent more pucks from getting fired on cage.

Also in Blackhawks news, GM Kyle Davidson made a series of roster moves on Monday, including a top prospect getting called up. Another high-end prospect overseas also scored a marvelous goal, adding to his league lead.

Around the league, the Maple Leafs rallied for an epic comeback over the Penguins, Dalibor Dvorsky helped the Blues storm back from an early deficit, and the NHL is heading to AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Chicago Blackhawks Recap, News & Tidbits

Chicago Hockey Now: The Blackhawks couldn’t pick up the first win of their long road trip on Monday, and they have now lost six consecutive games in Seattle. Despite outpossessing and outshooting the Kraken, their struggles at Climate Pledge Arena, and against Joey Daccord, continued.

More CHN: With Jason Dickinson landing on injured reserve, GM Kyle Davidson called up top prospect Oliver Moore from the Rockford IceHogs on Monday. Moore tallied nine points (6G, 3A) in his first nine AHL games with the IceHogs and has been one of the best rookies in the league early this season.

More CHN: Davidson made another roster move just a few hours after recalling Moore, as forward Landon Slaggert was assigned to Rockford. The move leaves the Blackhawks with only 12 healthy forwards on their NHL roster, but it was the correct decision, given Slaggert’s situation.

Another game, another goal for Roman Kantserov. The 2023 second-round pick raced through the neutral zone and fired home his KHL-leading 14th goal of the season on Monday. He’s still only 21 years old and is tearing it up in the top professional league in Russia.
