Chicago Blackhawks prospect Nick Lardis has been named AHL Rookie of the Month for October.

Despite some recent struggles on the road for the Chicago Blackhawks, things are still looking up on the farm.

Roman Kantserov is tearing up the KHL, Oliver Moore recently earned a promotion to the NHL, and now, Nick Lardis has been named Rookie of the Month for October in the AHL.

With 12 points in eight games in October, Lardis has been one of the most impressive players in the AHL, let alone rookies. Between an elite shot and playmaking abilities alongside his line mates, Lardis is working on becoming a complete player. The jump from junior hockey has not been too much for the young winger. As of this writing, Lardis is tied for second in the AHL in scoring with 13 points. Lardis has added one point, a goal, in two games in November.

The Rockford IceHogs are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 8 , against the Milwaukee Admirals. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT from the BMO Center in Rockford, IL. Lardis will look to continue his hot pace to begin the season.
