The Detroit Red Wings have received some positive news regarding Patrick Kane‘s injury and his potential return date has been revealed.
While the team is on the West Coast, set to take on the Vegas Golden Knights tonight, there is positive news regarding Patrick Kane waiting for them back home.
“There’s a real good chance he can skate with us on Thursday,” coach Todd McLellan said on Tuesday.
It appears that the 1,300-game NHL veteran, Patrick Kane, will return to skating on November 6th to practice with the team.
Quite an ordeal for someone who’s been out of the lineup since October 17th. Kane’s been out of the lineup now for a total of nine games and initially missed the beginning of the road trip, as the team hoped he would join them soon after they headed west.
The New Regarding Patrick Kane sounds Promising
According to Head Coach Todd McLellan, we can expect more soon as they’ve been in talks with multiple people regarding a potential return:
“We’re not there,” McLellan said. “But we’re getting feedback from some really important people, including Patrick, and we’re hoping he can practice with us and we’ll see where it goes.”
We’ve been tracking his latest injury updates in real time, as the team provides them when they know more.We thought fans might panic as he was out long-term, but it seems we’re finally turning the corner on his latest obstacle.
Kane has played a total of 1,307 games in the NHL and scored 1,348 points (494-854) split between the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, and Detroit Red Wings.
Last season, he scored 59 points (21-38) on a Red Wings team that was a bubble team when it came to making the playoffs.
It seems that his injection into the lineup could make it a reality this year.
