We can say that Jakub Dobes went through a very emotional moment after the Montreal Canadiens’ loss to the New Jersey Devils.
But it also drew reactions from analysts.
For many, Dobes didn’t need to carry all that weight on his own.

Gagnon also points out that Jacob Markstrom, on the other side, gave up two fairly easy goals. That’s what allowed the Canadiens to stay in the game – it puts things in perspective.
To me, Dobes’ reaction mainly shows how much he cares about his role. You can see a young goaltender who wants to perform well for his team. He feels the pressure of the jersey, and that’s normal.
With time, I truly believe that this kind of emotion can become a real strength.
