The Flyers homestand that started so well ended with a whimper. Two lackluster performances over the weekend took an impressive 6-3-1 start and turned it into a 6-5-1 start that puts the Flyers in a logjam at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
Now the team heads back on the road in search of their first win away from home, taking on the Montreal Canadiens, who have certainly gotten off to a hot start with 18 points.
Game time is at 7 p.m.
Trevor Zegras had his home points streak snapped in his last game on Sunday. He still leads the Flyers with 13 points and has eight in his last five games.
Cole Caufield is already up to 10 goals on the season and showing no sign of stopping. The forward has five goals in his last five games.
Dan Vladar gets the start for the Flyers. Vladar was pulled in his last start after allowing four goals on 19 shots to Toronto on Saturday. Vladar had not allowed more than two goals in a game prior.
Sam Montembeault gets the start for Montreal. Montembeault snapped a two-game losing streak in his last start, making 14 saves on 17 shots against Ottawa.
