Cayden Primeau Claimed on Waivers by Maple Leafs Conference Rival

The time of goaltender Cayden Primeau with the Toronto Maple Leafs is over, as he was put on waivers and then subsequently claimed by a Toronto Conference foe with championship aspirations of their own.After an underwhelming tenure wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs sweater, the team put goaltender Cayden Primeau on waivers, meaning he’d have 24 hours to clear, be claimed or otherwise sent down to the AHL.
He’s now been claimed, and by a Conference foe of the Maple Leafs with championship aspirations of their own. Primeau was claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes, the same organization he was with before the start of the season.
They put him on waivers and he was claimed by the Maple Leafs; he’s now back with the Hurricanes, who can assign him to the AHL straight away without having to go through waivers again.

Cayden Primeau Struggled With The Maple Leafs And Did Not Impress
Primeau’s time with the Maple Leafs was brief, and he didn’t impress during his few appearances.
During his three appearances this year, he had a whopping 4.30 GAA and a .838 SV%, numbers that would make even the most generous of fans wince.
In his NHL career which includes a stop with the divisional foe Montreal Canadiens, Primeau is 15-25-7 with a .882 SV%.
