Leon Draisaitl has been one of the best personalities in the Oilers locker room since his arrival in Edmonton, and fans got a peak at two hilarious moments recently.
Not only has Draisaitl evolved into a leader who’s committed to Edmonton for the next 8 seasons, he’s maintained his absolute dominance on the ice. Paired with also being a great person, the Oilers are lucky to have him.

At a recent event, a fan approached Draisaitl asking him to sign the iconic photo. The Oilers star immediately burst out laughing.
Ha. I like that picture. I like showing my humour and the other side of me once in a while on social media. So I let the people in on – I was about to say on things I do away from the ice – but I don’t smoke! I just enjoy giving the people a laugh.

And Draisaitl’s humour is something that comes through into the Oilers locker room frequently too. After Ike Howard scored his first career goal, Draisaitl was recorded into the room chirping him to get more.
The Oilers are incredibly lucky to have a player like Draisaitl locked up for the long term, not only for on the ice but for their locker room too. He’s truly matured into one of the consummate pros in the NHL, and will deliver a Stanley Cup to Edmonton in his career.
