Tyler Bertuzzi did what Bertuzzi does and that added more insult in the Chicago Blackhawks’ 5-1 win against the Detroit.
The feisty former Red Wings player scored another goal — his sixth in three games — and was also physically entangled with Dylan Larkin and other Red Wings more than once. He was an irritating presence. Playing on a line with Connor Bedard, Bertuzzi had two points, two shots, two minor penalties (including an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty) and one hit in 15 minutes of playing time.
Bertuzzi, involved in several post-whistle scrums, gets a double-minor (roughing, unsportsmanlike) with 3:36 left in the second. #RedWings

Remember how emotional Larkin was when GM Steve Yzerman traded away his buddy Bertuzzi at the trade deadline in 2023?
This was the first Detroit loss to the Blackhawks since 2022. Before Sunday, the Red Wings were 5-0-1 against Chicago in their last six contests.
And former Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill was behind the bench for Chicago. Blashill has the Blackhawks playing impressive hockey. Their game in Detroit was the final game of a six-game road trip. The ‘Hawks were 3-2-1 in that stretch. Their 8-5-3 record puts them in a playoff spot (Third place in the Central Division) in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Red Wings have fallen out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Red Wings in Case You Missed It
With three losses in a row, coach Todd McLellan’s group is reverting to old habits. His team is 4-6 since 5-1 start.
The Detroit power play has fallen into a 1-for-20 slump.
The Nate Danielson arrival could signal changes for other players. That’s what coach Todd McLellan said.
