VANCOUVER — Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko left Tuesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.
The 29-year-old all-star was spotted stretching his lower body in the crease midway through the frame, but played the entire first period, giving up three goals on eight shots.

Kevin Lankinen took over in Vancouver’s net to start the second period.
Demko did not dress for the three previous games and Canucks head coach Adam Foote said the goalie was taking care of himself in a season with a condensed schedule due to the Winter Olympic break.
The six-foot-four, 192-pound goalkeeper from San Diego, Calif., is 5-4-0 this season with a .912 save percentage and a 2.57 goals-against average.
He missed much of last season after suffering a knee injury in Game 1 of Vancouver’s first-round playoff series against the Predators in the 2023-24 campaign.
