After TSN’s Darren Dreger reported that Rick Tocchet is nearing a coaching decision, and that the Flyers are aggressive, another insider has joined the party.

ESPN’s John Buccigross used his patented reporting style to share his inklings on the Philadelphia Flyers and Tocchet.

Reporter or not, Buccigross is well connected in the NHL, and his reports should be taken with more than just a grain of salt.

Weeks before the move was made official, Buccigross made a report in his trademarked style liking Joel Quenneville to the Ducks. The move has since became official.

The Flyers have been long linked to Tocchet, including by Buccigross himself.

Buccigross has said he likes Tocchet to Philly, if he wants it.

That would go along with Elliote Friedman’s earlier report that Tocchet has been interviewing teams, not the other way around.

Rick Tocchet to the Flyers has made a lot of sense for a long time. It seems as if Tocchet to Philly is hitting its final stages.
