Frank Nazar is out, Jason Dickinson doubtful, and Andre Burakovsky misses morning skate in the latest Blackhawks updates.

The Chicago Blackhawks host the New Jersey Devils tonight at 8:30 pm CT. The Devils will put the Blackhawks’ recent success to the test against a legit team in the Eastern Conference. In the meantime, let’s get you caught up on the latest happenings over on the West Side.

Morning Skate

Scott Powers reported that Jason Dickinson participated in today’s morning skate; however, he said that Dickinson isn’t expected to be in the lineup tonight against New Jersey. Andre Burakovsky wasn’t on the ice in today’s morning skate. Ben Pope reported that if Burakovsky misses tonight’s game, Landon Slaggert would get the call from Rockford.

Frank Nazar Out

Head coach Jeff Blashill said Frank Nazar will be out for tonight’s game with a “mid-body injury.” Nazar was hit by Joel Farabee in their game against the Calgary Flames and hasn’t been on the ice since that shift. He was in the middle of a somewhat cold streak. Through 15 games, Nazar has five goals and 11 points and hasn’t scored a point in his last five games.
