Brady and Matthew Tkachuk are following in the footsteps of another pair of famous brothers.

The hockey superstars from the Ottawa Senators and the Florida Panthers announced Wednesday that they are launching their own podcast called Wingmen.

The first episode will be released Thursday.

The Tkachuk brothers are promising to “pull back the curtain on life on and off the ice through unfiltered stories, brotherly banter, sharp takes, and guest conversations with some of the biggest names in sports and beyond.”

The Tkachuk brothers will be the first hockey version of the highly successful New Heights podcast that is hosted by Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason, a former member of the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles.

Wave also produces the Kelce brothers’ podcast, which is one of the most popular in the sports world.

The Tkachuks are promising to be honest and truthful about their experiences in the game, plus offer up opinions on the National Hockey League and other sports.

“Two mics … absolutely no filter,” Brady, the Senators’ captain, said in a teaser video released by Los Angeles-based Wave Sports and Entertainment on Wednesday.

The announcement was made on the popular Pat McAfee Show in the United States.

“We’ve seen what Wave has done with other athletes and were immediately drawn to the idea of building something fresh for hockey fans,” said Brady. “Wingmen is our way of bringing people inside our world — the laughs, the banter, the not-so-friendly chirps and everything in between.”

Matthew, who has won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with the Panthers, and Brady are both sidelined at the moment because they’re recovering from surgeries.

Matthew is recovering from a procedure to repair a torn adductor and Brady is on his way back from thumb surgery.

Both have been named to the U.S. Olympic team, and Matthew said they’ll keep hockey fans in the loop as they prepare to suit up in their first Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina, Italy.

“We can’t wait to bring fans along for the ride as we go through the NHL season and get ready to suit up together once again for Team USA at the upcoming Winter Olympics,” said Matthew.

The brothers told McAfee they were approached by Wave after their appearance at the 4 Nations Face-Off in February with Team USA. Both were chasing playoff spots at the time, and put the talks on hold.

Those discussions picked up in the summer.

“For us, it’s super exciting,” Matthew said on McAfee’s show. “Our first episode drops tomorrow on Nov. 13, but throughout the NHL season it will be on Wednesdays.

“We’re just super excited. Brady and I FaceTime pretty much daily, weekly, whatever. Now we’re getting paid to do it once a week; are you kidding me? It’s just super-exciting to grow the game. Our dad (Keith) always said you’d better leave the game in a better place than when you got here.

“We feel this is our best way to do it. We feel like we were given a golden ticket. I don’t know why they chose us, but we are so excited.”

Brady said the plan for the show will be to give people a chance to see how they live their lives.

“I think for the first bunch of episodes, it’s just going to be us talking,” Brady said. “Of course, the majority of it will be hockey. But the thing about Matt and I, we’re interested in all sports. We were so competitive growing up. And then just other life things.

“I think that’s what our FaceTimes are usually about, where we’re just kind of talking about what’s going on. So, I know we’re excited about building off that. And I think down the road, we’ll invite some guests and really have a great time with them.”
