Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:

The Winnipeg Jets have found themselves back in the win column with a 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. They look to extend that effort into tonight’s contest against Seattle. The Jets are also likely to get some much-needed reinforcements with Dylan Samberg and Gustav Nyquist skating in regular jerseys. It is unclear if Samberg and/or Nyquist will suit up for the Jets tonight.

Seattle Kraken News & Notes:

The Seattle Kraken are coming off a 2-1 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. They’re looking to bounce back on home ice tonight and keep the Jets out of the win column. The Kraken are without goaltender Joey Daccord as he’s out with an upper-body injury currently. With Seattle having a near fully healthy roster, they could start to string together some wins and get back into playoff contention.

Players To Watch:

Winnipeg Jets

Nikita Chibrikov has been a constant on the Jets’ fourth line since making the opening night roster, and he could continue that stretch with a big burst in scoring tonight.

Josh Morrissey is coming off a three-point (1G, 2A) outing over Vancouver. If he trends similarly to last season, he’ll be red hot for a few games scoring-wise.

Seattle Kraken

Kaapo Kakko has fit like a glove in Seattle since being acquired last season. He’s yet to produce any points, but that makes him a prime candidate to have a big showing against a top team like Winnipeg.

Shane Wright has been producing well this season. He’s coming off a 44-point (19G, 25A) season, and he’s continuing a similar pace this season. He’ll be a strong middle-six option for Seattle, who are pursuing a win over Winnipeg.
