If you’ve always wanted to own the home of a Detroit Red Wings player and you happen to have an extra $60 million kicking around, you’re in luck.
That’s the current listing price for the Malibu beachfront mansion owned by former Detroit defenseman Chris Chelios.
According to TMZ, the home is a 3,795 square foot waterfront estate in Paradise Cove, California. The official listing price is $59,999,950. And it’s a bargain at that price. The home was originally listed at $67.5 million. It’s been on the market since 2023.

Among the amenities of the oceanfront palace are four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a massive kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, and a sprawling rooftop deck. You’re also going to love the incredible amount of natural light that comes through the oversized windows.
The home was originally constructed in 1982.
Among Chelios’ neighbors are actor Shirley MacLaine and one-time Red Wings nemesis Claude Lemieux.
Won Two Stanley Cups With Red Wings
Chelios played in the NHL from 1984 through 2010, finally retiring at age 48. He was with the Red Wings from 1999 through 2009.
Chelios won two Stanley Cups with the Red Wings, in 2001-02 and 2007-08. The former season was his best in Detroit. He and teammate Nicklas Lidstrom were named the defensemen on the NHL First All-Star Team. Chelios finished second to Lidstrom in Norris Trophy voting that season.
He was a three-time Norris Trophy winner during his NHL career. He won his other Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens in 1985-86. Chelios also won a World Cup of Hockey with the USA in 1996 and was presented with the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2006-07.
