There was speculation during the off-season that the Pittsburgh Penguins might trade Sidney Crosby.

It started when his agent, Pat Brisson, told The Athletic that Crosby “should be playing playoff hockey every year.”

When asked if Crosby would ever consider a trade away from the only NHL team he has played for, Brisson said: “It’s always a possibility, you know? It’s been three years they haven’t made the playoffs. It all depends on how Sid is going to be and how the team is going to do.”

The Penguins are off to a strong start this season, looking like they could be playoff contenders.

But if the Canadiens were able to acquire Crosby this season, would that make them instant Stanley Cup contenders?

That’s the question answered on this Hockey Inside/Out Show bonus episode as The Gazette’s Stu Cowan is joined by former Canadiens teammates and 1986 Stanley Cup champions Rick Green and Brian Skrudland, who is sitting in for Chris Nilan.

We’ll have one more Hockey Inside/Out bonus episode with Green and Skrudland coming out during the next few days, and if you haven’t already done so, please subscribe to the Hockey Inside/Out YouTube channel.
