The day after a tough loss by the Montreal Canadiens against the Dallas Stars, Martin St. Louis had announced a mandatory practice.

We’re talking about a practice that was supposed to take place at 11:30 a.m. to address the situation after that 7-0 loss.

Journalists and fans therefore showed up, but surprise!
The practice was cancelled at the very last second…

The Montreal Canadiens ultimately decided to cancel today’s session

We have no idea what might have caused this sudden change of plans – within just a few hours, no less – but note that the Habs players will therefore have no regular practice between the games against the Dallas Stars and the Boston Bruins (scheduled for tomorrow).

That said, even though today’s practice was cancelled, it doesn’t mean it was a day off for the Tricolore players.

“While only Demidov, Kapanen, Bolduc and Hutson are on the ice right now, the rest of the team is in Brossard doing off ice workout, this is not a day off.”

Let’s hope Montembeault can have a bounce back game for the Habs.
