A National Hockey League insider believes that the Vancouver Canucks could end up netting pretty big returns for a pair of pending unrestricted free agent forwards.

Vancouver only sits three points out of a Wild Card spot, but with injury issues continuing to wreck havoc on the roster, it’s not going to be easy for Adam Foote’s to remain in the mix for the Stanley Cup Playoffs beyond the all-important date of American Thanksgiving, where historically, upwards of 80% of teams in a playoff position end up making it in April.

If Vancouver continues to trend in the wrong direction, we could end up seeing the club subtract some well-known from their roster rather than add and recently, an NHL insider shared what Patrik Allvin could get in return for the team’s two biggest pending unrestricted free agents.

During an appearance on Sekeres and Price this week, NHL insider Cam Robinson shared that if the Vancouver Canucks were to move Kiefer Sherwood and Evander Kane before the deadline on Friday, March 6th, the club could end up getting a decent return.Meanwhile for Evander Kane, who the club acquired in late June, Vancouver could be looking at a second round pick, but only if they’re willing to retain 50% of his remaining salary.

Cam Robinson thinks the Canucks can probably get a 1st round pick for Kiefer Sherwood and a 2nd Round pick for Evander Kane (at 50% retained) at the deadline.

In a perfect world, the Vancouver Canucks will be able to turn things around and climb back into a top-three spot in the Pacific Division, but if their play continues to be mediocre and injury issues keep popping up, then don’t be surprised if they’re on the outside looking in when all is said and done in the spring.
