One night after a frantic come-from-behind win, the Flyers weren’t able to work similar magic. Instead, Jason Robertson further drove home the dagger.

The Flyers trailed just 3:48 into the game, and the Stars never looked back, as Robertson scored a natural hat trick over the second and third periods in a 4-0 loss for the Flyers on Saturday night.

The Stars jumped out to a fast start, getting on the board at 3:48 as Lian Bichsel fired through a screen to beat Dan Vladar.

Through 20 minutes, shots were 10-3 Dallas.

In the second, Robertson took over with a pair of goals. His first came at 11:39 of the period, as he followed up a loose puck off a rush to score on the backhand. Then he scored again at 17:02, walking in front and releasing a quick shot to make it 3-0.

Through two periods, shots were 16-13 Dallas.

Robertson completed the hat trick at 9:29 of the third on the power play. Christian Dvorak got the Flyers on the board with 9:03 to play, but the goal was quickly erased by a Tyler Seguin goal at 13:51.

Jake Oettinger made 20 saves on 21 shots in the win. Vladar made 23 saves on 28 shots in the loss.

In addition to Robertson’s hat trick, Roope Hintz had three assists and Seguin had a goal and an assist.

The Flyers return home for their next game, taking on the St. Louis Blues on Thursday at 7 p.m.
