As the NHL inches closer to the American Thanksgiving holiday, NHL rumors are picking up. Let’s see what the latest options teams are considering.
Nashville Predators – Michael Bunting NHL Rumors: 3 possible trade destinations for the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent.

The crafty middle-six forward can answer several teams’ needs if he is traded. Bunting has a $4.5 million deal, which expires at the end of the current season. He doesn’t possess any trade protection and has tallied four goals and six assists in 19 games.
The way the Nashville Predators’ season has started (6-9-4), it seems that general manager Barry Trotz may be anticipating a fire sale to improve his roster. So, which teams could have an interest in Bunting? Glad you asked.
Boston Bruins – When you analyze Bunting’s game, it seems obvious that an ideal landing spot for him would be the Bruins. His physical style attracts Boston’s interest, and they are familiar with his game from his time as a Toronto Maple Leaf. He could provide some much-needed secondary scoring. Utah Mammoth – Ownership in Utah wants to be in the playoffs this season, and adding a player like Bunting wouldn’t hurt. He has scored 20 goals or more twice in his career, and is one short of 100 goals in his seventh NHL campaign. New Jersey Devils – With the recent injury to star center Jack Hughes, the Devils could certainly use Bunting’s skill set on their front line. Head coach Sheldon Keefe coached Bunting for two seasons with the Maple Leafs. He knows what he can bring to the team.
It seems that Bunting can fit in well with the three teams mentioned. Now, we must wait to see what Trotz does going forward.
Buffalo Sabres – Kevyn Adams NHL Rumors: Is Kevyn Adams’ reign as GM about to end?

The Buffalo Sabres have not improved this season (5-8-4), and it becomes a serious consideration that GM Kevyn Adams may not be around much longer. Perhaps he should have been gone long before this. With the hiring of Jarmo Kekäläinen as a “senior advisor”, it may not be enough to save Adams’ job.
Certainly, Adams can’t hold the entire blame for the Sabres’ mediocrity. Captain Rasmus Dahlin is on a leave of absence to be with his fiancée in Sweden as she recovers from a heart transplant. Jason Zucker has been sidelined with some virus that has left him unable to eat solid food for nine days, and Jiri Kulich has been diagnosed with blood clots.
It seems, though, that Adams is just hoping that things will magically turn around. They haven’t. There have been NHL rumors that Tage Thompson or Alex Tuch could be on the trading block. Tuch may get dealt, but Thompson is part of the nucleus of the club and won’t be departing unless some deal emerges that can’t be resisted.
With Adams’ contract expiring, it really makes no sense to have him make any decisions about the team’s future, considering he will not be the one to write the next chapter. The simplest solution is to fire him now and name Kekäläinen as interim general manager. Of course, nothing seems simple in Buffalo.
The least of which is winning.
St. Louis Blues – Roster changes NHL Rumors: The Blues need to make some changes after a slow start.

When names like Jordan Kyrou, Brayden Schenn, Justin Faulk, Jordan Binnington, and Oskar Sundqvist are being floated about as trade candidates, you know something must be going on with the roster.
Three teams could be interested in adding some of the players mentioned above to their rosters.
Minnesota Wild – The 7-7-4 start for the Wild has them checking available options to improve. If they can add a top-six forward to the fold, things could be looking up. It would allow them to shift Marcus Johansson, who has six goals and 15 points so far, down a line to spread out the scoring. It could boost Minnesota’s playoff aspirations, as it has nothing to be satisfied with thus far this season. Toronto Maple Leafs – The Leafs are not meeting expectations this season. With an 8-8-2 record so far, that will not get them into the postseason if things don’t change. They could be looking to add players such as Faulk, Schenn, or even Kyrou, who could be on their radar. They can score, ranking fourth in the league, but are terrible, ranking tied for last in goals against. Perhaps adding Faulk may be the best move. Calgary Flames – The Flames may hope that the Blues are growing concerned about falling out of contention, and a trade could help both teams. At this point, for Calgary, they need to try something. Their 5-12-2 record is unacceptable. Look for something to give here. Both teams are in a pickle. End Of NHL Rumors Rant
Bunting could be reunited with some of his former teammates if he goes to the Mammoth. He got his start in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes in 2014 when they drafted him 117th overall. He could help the secondary scoring for Utah.
Buffalo’s path is complicated. They desperately desire to become more competitive, and letting Adams go may be the first step towards that goal.
The Blues have been disappointed in their start, but can’t just trade away players they know can perform. If anything, Schenn may be the one who is sent packing.
That does it for this edition of NHL rumors. Stay tuned for our next article, and thanks for reading!
