The Pittsburgh Penguins (9-5-4) and Nashville Predators (6-9-4) meet again today at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, closing out their NHL Global Series back-to-back.

Nashville enters the rematch in desperate need of points near the bottom of the Central Division, while Pittsburgh — tied with the New York Islanders and New York Rangers at 22 points — tries to stabilize after dropping four of its last five.

The Predators claimed Friday’s opener 2–1 in overtime, snapping a five-game losing streak. Steven Stamkos buried the winner just 44 seconds into OT, capping a strong night in which Nashville controlled play and out-shot Pittsburgh 30–17.

Juuse Saros needed only 16 saves, while Penguins goaltender Arturs Silovs kept the game tight with 28 stops.

Evgeni Malkin scored Pittsburgh’s lone goal, a deflection early in the second period —his fourth of the season and 22nd point. But the Penguins couldn’t close it out. With Saros pulled and 1:10 left in regulation, Filip Forsberg tied the game on a backhander that sent the contest to overtime.

Prediction

Expect another tight, low-scoring matchup. Pittsburgh’s structure and special-teams advantage should give them a slight edge, but Nashville’s pushback on Friday means the Penguins can’t afford a passive start.

Projected Final Score: Penguins 4, Predators 2
