The Montreal Canadiens have played firewagon hockey of late, with nine of their past 10 games featuring at least seven goals.
Now facing one of the league’s higher-event teams, my Canadiens vs. Blue Jackets predictions expect Juraj Slafkovsky to snap out of a point drought.

Canadiens vs Blue Jackets Best bet: Juraj Slafkovsky Over 0.5 points (-115)
Juraj Slafkovsky has gone through a bit of a dry spell, failing to hit the scoresheet in three consecutive games.
This kind of stretch without production is abnormal for him. There’s plenty of reason to believe he’ll snap out of it sooner than later.
Dating back to December of last season, Slafkovsky has only gone more than three in a row without a point once.
Given his chemistry with stars like Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, and the opportunities that stem from riding shotgun with them at 5-on-5 and on the power play, it is hard for Slafkovsky to go more than a couple of games in a row without a point.
He’s in a great spot to rebound Monday night. The Columbus Blue Jackets rank first in pace this season and give up boatloads of chances at even-strength and while killing penalties.
Slafkovsky and his linemates should spend plenty of time in the offensive and generate more than their share of opportunities. They just need to cash one in.

Caufield has at least three shots in six of eight road games and now draws a Blue Jackets team that ranks Bottom-5 in shot suppression this season.
Zach Werenski had an assist in 63% of home games last year and has posted an identical hit rate this season. Nine of the past 10 Montreal Canadiens games have gone Over, so there should be a good environment for offense.
