This will be the second matchup between the Bruins and Hurricanes with Boston winning a matchup on Nov. 1, 2-1. That game saw all the goals come in the third period and Charlie McAvoy had two assists with Arvidsson scoring the game-deciding goal.

Carolina is 12-5-1 on the year and has 25 points to Boston’s 24. The team just played consecutive 4-3 overtime games on back-to-back nights, first beating the Vancouver Canucks and then losing to the Edmonton Oilers. Eric Robinson, Nikolaj Ehlers and Jordan Staal all got goals in the loss and in the win, Andrei Svechnikov had a pair, Taylor Hall scored the game-tying goal in the third and Sebastian Aho scored the winner.
