The Columbus Blue Jackets wrap up a three-game homestand Monday night when they face the Montreal Canadiens.
The Blue Jackets have points in four straight games (2-0-2) and will look to make it a season-long, five-game streak in this one.
Here are five things to know before the 7:30 p.m. puck-drop:
The Canadiens are 10-6-2 on the season but have lost their last three games (all on home ice) by a combined score of 15-3, including a 7-0 loss to the Dallas Stars on Thursday. They’re 0-for-13 on the power play in those games and 0-for-17 in their last five games when on the man-advantage. Jakub Dobes will get the start for Montreal; he’s 6-1-1 this season with a .270 goals against average and .901 save percentage.
The Blue Jackets have played five straight one-goal games (2-1-2), and nine of the last 11 games have been decided by one goal (5-2-2).
With an assist Saturday night, Kirill Marchenko made it 11 straight games with a point. He’s now just two games away from tying Ryan Johansen, who had a point in 13 straight games during the 2014-15 season.
Another start for Jet has been confirmed by head coach Dean Evason. This will be the fifth straight start for Jet, whose best game in the stretch was Saturday night’s shootout loss to the New York Rangers. For the season, Greaves has a .904 save percentage and 2.79 goals against average. The Blue Jackets are 5-4-2 in his starts.
Yegor Chinakhov has been bumped up to the top six, where he’ll skate opposite of Kent Johnson and centered by Sean Monahan. Luca Del Bel Belluz will be a healthy scratch, and Zach Aston-Reese comes back into the lineup to replace him. No defensive changes are expected. Here are the complete projections:
