One of the biggest names across the NHL could be on the move at the upcoming NHL trade deadline next spring if things continue the way they have been. This would be star Artemi Panarin of the New York Rangers, who has been subject to trade rumors all offseason.

Panarin is in the final year of his current contract, and there has been trade speculation around him because of it. New York reportedly doesn’t want to give him the lucrative new deal that he will likely ask for, and this could see him be moved.

There were reports over the summer that unless the Rangers drastically became contenders this year, Panarin’s future with the team was a little murky. This could see him be traded, as the Rangers try to set up the next era of the franchise.

Panarin is still a very good player on the ice, and any team that would make a move for him would be getting a legitimate star. Last season with New York, Panarin scored 37 goals and 52 assists over 80 games played in the regular season.

While this all remains to be seen, the idea of the Rangers making a move involving Panarin has grown louder as the season has gone on. New York will need to massively become contenders for this to not happen, and as of right now, things aren’t looking great.

This is just a prediction, NOT a report!

Artemi Panarin Traded to Anaheim Ducks

One team that could make a potential move to add Panarin could be the Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim has started the new season very well, and this team could look to bring in a little more firepower to everything.

There have already been some reports about a potential interest from the Ducks toward adding Panarin, but this all remains to be seen. However, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility, and we could see Anaheim be one of the big players at the upcoming NHL trade deadline.

The Rangers and Ducks have made multiple trades in recent years, so the two front offices are quite familiar with each other. This could bode well with trade negotiations, and it could see a deal get done.

But Panarin would get a chance to play alongside some of his former teammates in Anaheim, while also playing for an upstart franchise. Anaheim also has a lot of young talent across the board, and they could be one of the next powerhouse teams in the Western Conference if things go as planned.

Additionally, Panarin could be reunited with head coach Joel Quenneville, whom he knows from his brief days with the Chicago Blackhawks. Panarin may welcome a reunion here, especially with how well Anaheim has been playing to open the new season.

If anything, Panarin could be the massive scoring option for the Ducks, and Anaheim has plenty of cap space to give him a new contract next summer. This could be a real win-win type of move for each side, and it is something to keep an eye on as the deadline gets closer next year.
